Swarovski partners with Coty to enter beauty market

Jewellery retailer Swarovski has entered a strategic alliance with Coty, a major player in the global beauty industry, to enter the beauty market.

The long-term beauty licence agreement between the partners will enable the development, production and distribution of a new fragrance concept.

Swarovski aims to bolster its brand influence within the beauty sector and broaden its range of consumer products with the new venture.

The collaboration seeks to infuse the beauty market with Swarovski's distinctive style, characterised by luxury and a celebration of uniqueness.

The inaugural product launch from the licence will take place in 2026.

Globally recognised for its crystal products, Swarovski operates in 140 countries with a network of more than 2,300 boutiques and numerous multi-brand retail partners.

Swarovski chief commercial officer Michele Molon said: “Partnering with Coty is a significant step for Swarovski as we continue to expand our brand into new product categories. The partnership allows us to bring Swarovski’s unique positioning of 'pop luxury' – a luxury that is creative, fun, colourful and joyfully extravagant – to the world of beauty and fragrances whilst leveraging Coty's extensive industry expertise.

“Together, we will create beautiful and luxurious products that reflect our shared commitment to quality and innovation. We look forward to the endless possibilities this partnership will bring.”

Coty's portfolio spans fragrances, colour cosmetics and skin and body care products.

The partnership with Swarovski signifies a commitment to fostering creativity and innovation within Coty's operations.

It also underscores Coty's objective to expand and enhance its product assortment while introducing fresh brands and innovations to consumers.

The partnership solidifies Coty's status as a preferred partner for international brands aiming to develop or enhance their presence in the beauty space.
