IHCL expands Ginger hotel brand in key Indian markets
Hospitality firm Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) is continuing the expansion of its Ginger hotel brand in India, with a new property in Goa’s Candolim coastal village.
This latest addition to the IHCL portfolio is within walking distance of Candolim and Moterio beaches, offering guests convenient access to some of Goa's coastal attractions.
IHCL managing director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal said: “For over five decades, IHCL has maintained its pioneering leadership in the state of Goa since the opening of Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, in 1974.
“The re-imagined Ginger began its journey in Goa in 2018, and since has become a portfolio of 100 hotels. The opening of 262 key Ginger Candolim aligns with the brand’s growth strategy of large-format hotels in key lodging markets of the country.”
The Ginger Goa, Candolim features 262 keys and introduces the brand's signature Qmin restaurant and bar.
The hotel's amenities include a swimming pool with views and a dedicated play area for children.
With more than 4,500ft² of versatile meeting and banqueting spaces, the property is equipped to host corporate meetings and social gatherings.
The new hotel is expected to welcome leisure and business travellers, capitalising on the region's growing popularity.
IHCL and its subsidiaries are committed to delivering Indian hospitality across a collection of brands and businesses.
Earlier this month, IHCL expanded its lean luxe portfolio, with the Ginger brand hotel in Diu , India. The 45-key hotel is situated on Jalandhar Beach in the Daman & Diu Union Territory.
Additionally, IHCL announced the introduction of the Gateway brand hotel in Rishikesh earlier this month. The 125-key Gateway Rishikesh Hotel in India is located on a six-acre site with views of the Ganges River.
