Nestle India falls Wednesday, underperforms market
Shares of Nestle India Ltd. 500790 inched down 0.03% to 2,169.55 Indian rupees Wednesday, on what proved to be an all-around great trading session for the stock market, with the BSE SENSEX Index 1 rising 0.47% to 78,507.41.
Nestle India Ltd. closed 607.45 rupees below its 52-week high (2,777.00 rupees), which the company achieved on September 27.
The stock demonstrated a mixed performance when compared to some of its competitors Wednesday, as Heritage Foods (India) Ltd. HERITGFOOD fell 0.08% to 484.15 rupees and Vadilal Industries Ltd. VADILALIND rose 0.80% to 4,022.85 rupees.
Trading volume (18,805) remained 56,452 below its 50-day average volume of 75,257.
